This month, on the 1st of June we made the 10,000 users of CIf2.net milestone! It felt amazingly awesome. Especially because we had doubled the number of users from 5,000 to 10,000 in just 4 months.
We did not advertise at all. Just pure saying I Exist! and SEO, the methods we evangelize. We got 10,000 users just by playing the Cif2.net game that gets you noticed. Pretty neat, right?
So that obviously called for celebration.
Let’s see. I remember some beer and opening up a bottle of wine one day, immediately after posting about the success of Cif2.net on the Romanian Startups Community and to the alumni of Fabrica de Antreprenori.
People called me, texted me: “How did you do it?” I replied to them all with much joy, because I was still very happy and excited. But then I realised that all I told them was actually what Cif2.net teaches its 10,000 users. We basically had done our tasks and a little bit more (which will be included in Cif2.net as well for Levels over 6).
So after that I bought a bow and became a Level 1 archer (yeah, just a beginer). Which was awesome again. Of course, 10,000 users is a lot and I had many more ideas for growth, retention, etc. (about 50 of them that I wanted to apply). So I started a PSDM session that took a while and it was full of calculations and pesimistic projections. And the results looked really good.
I had a lot of fun this month, bought a Magic the Gathering pack for two players (the fire and water Core sets of 2012) π
AAAAnd, I’m wearing right now the “10,000 Users – We Love You!” T-shirt. Drank some screwdrivers to celebrate even more.
And on Tuesday I’ll give a speech about our awesome 10,000 Users.
This June of 2012 is awesome! Celebration continues π
